The Theatre closed in 2005. £800,000 was allocated to enable renovation works to be completed. September 2007 was the intended date for the theatre to re-open. Now due to a financial stand-off dispute between Liverpool City Council and Hanover Estates Management, the Theatre remains closed with little renovation undertaken. It is our objective to ensure that the Neptune Theatre re-opens as a live performance Theatre venue with necessary funding made available to complete all renovation works. Please help us by showing your support.

Thank you

Another medium sized venue closed, another triumph for the big combines and their accountants. Another kick in the pants for unemasculated small touring companies looking for a stage.

This is the only theatre of its kind in Liverpool itself. It needed some tidying up, but should have been the heart of the YoC.
