Student placements wanted Sixth form ICT students are enthusiastic and keen to increase their skills. But they need you help.
For one day a week from January to May 2008, BTEC/NVQ pupils and students in local schools/colleges need placement within business organisations to gain first hand knowledge of ICT in the working environment.
Liverpool Compact EBP ran a placement programme successfully in 2006 and would now welcome the opportunity to introduce a student into your company.
The programme aims to make course work more relevant to chosen career paths, provide a fuller understanding of the ICT sector and ensure practical experience for the future. Companies will incur no costs and should find keen students a valuable asset.
Placements are needed in technical support, diagnostics, repairs, installation and networking, help desk services, website design/maintenance and ICT in presentations.
For more information, please contact Jo Broughton, Health and Safety/Employer Liaison Officer, Liverpool Compact EBP
