TPW News

To honour the memory of Alexandra Boulat, who has been teaching at TPW since 2003, TPW has created a scholarship. This will consist in the possibility to attend a workshop at TPW for free (included room and board). It will be offered to a young (under 35) female photojournalist. Details on how to apply in the next newsletter.

I just returned from a short trip in Brazil, where I attended the photo festival Paraty em Foco. Very likely, we will start a series of workshop there next year. Please check their website, it is a small festival but extremely well organized, very professionally run and with a great atmosphere. www.paratyemfoco.com

One of the appointment of the season, not to be missed, it is certainly Paris-Photo www.parisphoto.fr Nov 15-18. It offers to possibility to see exceptional photographs exhibited by the world’s leading galleries. TPW will not be there with a booth, but me and some of my team will be there as visitors: if you happen to be in Paris, let us know and we can meet up!

Canon Academy workshop are continuing their tour across Italy, next stops Florence and Venice.

The India workshop, organized by our friends at India Photographic Workshop www.ipw.org.in will definitely be happening. Please check the website. Dates are from January 19th to February 5th, divided into two workshops, one with David Alan Harvey and one with Bob Sacha.

We have almost completed our 2008 schedule and by next newsletter, in a couple of weeks, we will be able to present the full calendar.

Together with the “classic” workshops, with David Alan Harvey, Bob Sacha, Arno Minkkinen, Antonin Kratochvil, Anders Petersen and many others, we will propose new names , such as Douglas Beasley / Zen and the Art of Photography, Erica Shires/Personal Research and Commercial Work, Ed Kashi /Documentary Photography in the Digital Age and more.

Summer workshop will take place, between mid-July and mid-August at the Monastery of Sant’Anna in Camprena, in Tuscany. In Spring we will be in Sicily from March through April. First stop, Scicli, for the Easter processions workshop.

As in the past years, we will shortly propose our special Christmas Offer, that will give you, with pre-registration, discounts up to 35%

We hope you are well, back to your photography. We wish you all the best for your future projects.
